AccessBank Removes Charges on Mobile Banking

AccessBank Tanzania has removed charges on mobile banking transactions of less than TZS 200,000 (which represents 40% of all AccessBank transactions) in support of preventing the spread of Corona virus. Therefore, the bank wants to encourage customers and the public to perform more transactions that are cashless.

Head of Banking Service, Michael Fraterne said that, Through AccessMobile (AccessBank mobile solution), clients are able to pay for Utilities such as (Luku, Dawasco, DSTV, Star Times, Azam, etc) as well as purchase airtime, send money from their bank accounts to all mobile money wallets (Tigo Pesa, M-Pesa, Airtel Money and EzyPesa).

He also encouraged clients to make purchases from merchants accepting Mastercard QR for instance Puma petrol stations and many other merchants across the country.
