AccessBank donates computers, learning software and other school equipment to Turiani Secondary School

AccessBank Senior Marketing Officer Mr. Sijaona Simon left, and Turian Secondary School Headmaster Mr Izungo Angalo, assists students to operate some of the 10 computers donated by the bank as well as 10 computer tables in an event held in Dar es Salaam.

 

AccessBank Tanzania donated 10 computers worth over TZs 3m/- to Turiani Secondary School in Dar es Salaam, with state of the art learning software that will assist the students to achieve better grades, as part of its community support strategy with the promotion of innovation within the education sector. Providing innovative tools to assist students will simplify the way they learn and prepare for their exams. Speaking during the handover ceremony, the bank’s Senior Marketing Officer, Mr Sijaona Simon Malosha said, “We were touched as an institution by how our future generation experienced difficulties accessing computers and equipment that will assist them become our leaders of tomorrow, therefore, we saw the need to step in.”

The computers along with the learning software will ease teachers’ work as both students and teachers will receive training for 4 days on the various educational programs installed within the computers. We appreciate that Turian Secondary School had taken an initiative of building a computer lab, the rest was upto us.

The School’s Headmaster Mr. Izungo Angalo said that, “the computers would enable the school to establish computer classes and that the donation had come at the right time as it would help the students to build their computer skills as well as assist them with learning material. The schools board thanks AccessBank Tanzania for its assistance, and we ask the bank to continue supporting us”.
